OPEN QUANTUM SYSTEMS GROUP
Welcome! We are a research group working at the intersection of Quantum Optics, Quantum Information and Open Quantum Systems. Our research focuses on Quantum Fluctuation Phenomena, Collective Atom-Field Interactions, non-Markovian open quantum sytems and Decoherence. Our work aims to find novel ways to engineer interactions between atoms/atom-like emitters and photons, with the goal to building efficient light-matter interfaces and explore quantum phenomena at macroscopic scales. We are a theory group that works in close collaboration with experiments, aiming to develop novel applications of quantum optics in quantum information processing, quantum sensing and metrology, and photonic devices.
